O.M.GEEEEEEEEEE!!!! For so long…..SOOOO LOOOONNNGGG I have searched and searched and SEARCHED for a FanFic that came at least CLOSE to the amazing/wonderful FanFics that are: “Stormbenders” & “Rhythm of the Rain.” And finally….FINALLY, I found one!!!! :D What sets these apart from others for me? (you may ask). The FEELS for one.


I love, I NEED a story that I can actually FEEL while it’s happening. I feel the love, the heartache, the strife, the longing, the happiness! I feel sad for the characters when they’re sad. I tear up when they cry. My heart aches when theirs aches, and I can just literally FEEL what they are going through.

That is the thing that makes the biggest impact on me.


The other? It HAS to be believable.

Has to. Has to. HAS TO.

If it’s not believable, then it’s just too difficult to really enjoy it. That being said….


First all the positives!


1 - Fall of the White Lotus is written SO WELL!!!! This author has done their homework!!! Just like “Rhythm of the Rain”, when we are taken into the Fire Court, we are described in DETAIL the way the court works and all that it entails, it is amazing! I LOVE this kind of attention to detail along with explanations that make the story both flow and completely believable.


2 - This FanFic is Cannon Compliant and picks up about 3 years after the end of Book 3.


3 - This also has little Zutara scenes here and there, so we’re not waiting till the very end for SOMETHING. So that’s super nice.


4 – I swear THIS IS HOW BOOK 4 WOULD HAVE BEEN!!!! FOR REALZIES!!!!! It is just SO WONDERFULLY put together! And just gets (practically) EVERYTHING right!!! Omgosh, I just love it so much!!!!


5 – Writer suggests songs to go with the story, which is pretty neat! I ALWAYS listen to music while I read! I will share the ones I listened to for this one at the end! :D

Ok, now some of the “not so great” things.


1 - A character who was not originally a bender is turned into one. BUT! The way it is told and done, is totally acceptable. So it didn’t bother me too much once things were explained more.


2 – There is ship created here (that does not involve Zuko or Katara) that I am not thrilled about. It’s not one I’ve even ever heard of before either, so I was surprised and not expecting it. But uh….for the most part I wasn’t thrilled about it. Luckily it doesn’t really interfere with the story at all, and is just kind of “there” so…..it is what it is.


3 – Towards the very end, some paragraphs are accidentally doubled. Like they were copy and pasted twice by mistake. Nothing major, just gatta skim past it.

I use different songs with different moods and different FanFics. Not all songs are used for every FanFic I read. ;) But at least you have some of the ones I used for it. XD
