Eventualities are Inevitable
***FanFic Review!***
**No Spoilers!**
Complete? Yes
If I had to describe this Fic with ONE word, it would be: Bonding
The way that Katara and Zuko end up bonding in this Fic and the fuzzies that follow are really what make this Fic for me. It’s the whole reason I ended up liking it in the first place.
This FanFic is written by: Meeoko on FanFiction.net
Possible Trigger Warnings: torture/beaten in prison, physical abuse on a team mate. (not cool) She might think she's "slapping him out of it", but hitting anyone across the face is never ok.
Review: This story takes place almost right after Zuko joins the team at the Western Air Temple. Zuko has since helped Sokka to rescue Chief Hakoda and Suki, but has yet to take the field trip with Katara to the Southern Raiders. Before that event can take place both he and Katara are captured outside of the Western Air Temple while trying to collect fire wood.
Since Katara has yet to forgive Zuko in this story, they must instead learn to get along and work as a team while being prisoners and having only one another to rely on.
This is part 1 of a two part story, so be aware that while complete, this story does continue. ^_^ And the continuation is also complete! So: WHOO HOO! For that! :D
I really feel that part 1 is way better than part 2 though. Part 2 was ok and it was an interesting read, but I just really like part 1 better. ^_~
Part 2 is called: “I’ll follow you home” and will have its own review.
__________________________________________________________
I will say that the characters (mostly Zuko and Katara) do seem just a tad OOC in the beginning, but it’s not too bad, and it does get better.
*Random side note: I never like when someone writes anyone sticking out their tongue at someone else. That's what 3 year olds do. Not teenagers. XD But yeah, that happens in here. But to each their own of course.
Don’t feel down that things seem a bit slow at first, it gets way more exciting at chapter 5 and is totally worth the wait!
There are a few inconsistencies in the story, such as: Katara has seen gold eyes before when the Fire Nation attacks her village. But the story states that Zuko’s are the first she has ever seen. A character mentions her blood bending, but there’s no way they would have known about it if the Southern Raiders episode had not yet happened. And Katara is stated to be wearing the wrong outfit. As we all know she put her Water Tribe clothes back on after she got to the Western Air Temple. Thankfully though, the inconsistencies don’t mess up the story any. So no worries there. :) Just read it and keep on a goin, as the story gets SUPER heartfelt and the chemistry build up as they bond in prison is really good. 💕

There are a few grammatical errors here and there, so be aware that you will come across some. But there aren’t so many that it makes you want to stop reading the story, so it works out.

Ok….I normally will not point out an exact chapter in a review, (even though I kinda already did that above, ha!) but technically it’s not exactly a “spoiler” so…….just wanted to say that the Fuzzies start on chapter 13. ^_^ So they ARE there, and it doesn’t take too horribly long to get there. (I just like to give people hope and something to look forward to, K? XD )

There is a little bit of cheese in here, but thankfully it’s not too strong. Which is good, cause I’m not a fan of strong cheese. XD
Overall, this is an enjoyable story.
I don't always agree with the things Zuko & Katara say or think, as I feel that sometimes it is a bit out of Character. But I still enjoy the story and I definitely enjoy the fluff and feel that it is totally worth a read! ^_^

THE FOLLWING ARE UNFORTUNATE EVENTS YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ BECAUSE THEY ARE KIND OF SPOILERS AHEAD. YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. READ ON ONLY IF YOU DON’T MIND SMALL SPOILERS.
I really hate moments when the author has Katara laughing at Zuko at his expense.
So uncool.
I've been with my husband for 15 years and I still know better to not laugh at him if I think it will embarrass him. That's just rude.
And sure, Katara can be bossy and hard headed. But she's never out right rude.

There were so many…SO MANY good spots where the first kiss could have happened. But when we finally get it, it seems to come out of nowhere. So that was kind of unfortunate. And Katara’s reaction afterwards is unrealistic to me. (Can’t say more without giving too much away.)
And again, while these things are a bummer, the story is still GOOD. 💗
